Five ways to present one strong argument

The historical work comes first. Choose the category that best helps you communicate your evidence and interpretation.

Individual or group

Documentary

A ten-minute film using images, video, and sound to communicate the historical argument, evidence, and significance.

Individual or group

Exhibit

A three-dimensional physical and visual presentation combining text, images, documents, objects, graphics, and design.

Individual only

Paper

A written presentation of the historical argument, research evidence, and interpretation.

Individual or group

Performance

A live dramatic portrayal of the historical argument, evidence, and significance.

Individual or group

Website

Interconnected webpages using multimedia to communicate the argument and evidence. NHD websites must be created in NHDWebCentral.

Group participation

Documentary, Exhibit, Performance, and Website entries may be individual or group projects. Groups may include two to five students. Paper entries are individual only.
